The spring is in the air. To better promote a “green” lifestyle and deepen DRC-tenant relations, the Liangmaqiao DRC’s Jindao Branch organized a family event for the tenants to celebrate the arrival of spring and raise safety awareness through parent-children interaction. 25 family members of diplomats from 6 countries including Mali, Sudan and Algeria showed up for the event.
The Jindao DRC is the home of a large number of children who are extremely playful outdoor sports enthusiasts, particularly when the weather is getting warm. Cycling is one of the preferred games of the kids. To keep order and avoid danger, the Property Management Department has taken every opportunity to provide information about traffic safety, fire hazard and emergency evacuation. During the event, a PPT presentation was delivered to improve safety awareness and promote the DRC-Bank of China E-Community Life Tool App. Considering the fact that most of the tenants spoke Arabic, an Arab child was invited to translate and help with the briefing. Through daily life scenarios, the kids were advised not to play with fire, vandalize public facilities or climb up to the windows. The children and parents’ attention was also drawn to the recent cycling activities and traffic safety issues in the compound. The PPT slides aroused strong interest of the parents and the normally restless kids.
To promote the DRC-Bank of China E-Community Life Tool App is one of the priorities of the Property Management Department for 2017, and how to download and use the App was introduced in details to the tenants. The tenants taking part in the briefing were requested to give their comments on the App by filling in a questionnaire and are willing to use the App to read the DRC notices and view information on other services.
To give a chance for the kids to take part in and have fun in environment protection activities, the Property Management Department staff led the children to plant roses in the courtyard. The kids got an opportunity to learn what environment protection meant, thus awakening their love for life and nature. The Property Management Department prepared halal food and gifts for the participating tenants and the family event drew to a perfect close.
The briefing was aimed at informing the
children how to cherish the plants and avoid danger in daily life, in the hope
that their parents would work together with the Property Management Department in
educating them to stay away from potential risks. The parents took photos of
each other to mark the occasion, thanked the Property Management Department for
making the thoughtful preparations and looked forward to attending more such
events in the future.
